PRISCILA CANALES |
| Daughter of a Colombian father and a Peruvian mother, Priscila Canales was born in Mexico City on November 8th 1969. From a young age she was artistically inclined. She studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, Italy and she graduated in 1992. |
| In 1994, she attended the metal smith and enamel workshops at the Centro Artesanal Independencia in Mexico City. At the same time she set up her own workshop in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Over the years the infrastructure of her workshop grew and her designs flourished, acquiring a style of her own. Priscila has participated in jewelry exhibits in Mexico, Peru and the U.S. always searching for adequate spaces to showcase artistic jewelry. Today she works with her husband José Dionisio León, whose talents as a craftsman have contributed to the formation of a solid Mexican jewelry design team. |
